Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure has awarded Ha. Utheemu Channel Breakwater Upgrade Project to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
At a ceremony held at the Planning Ministry, the agreement was signed by Director General of the Ministry Fathimath Shaana Faarooq and COO of MTCC Shahid Hussain Moosa signed the agreement on behalf of the company.
Under the project MTCC has carry out 8400 cubic meter channel dredging operations and 50 meter breakwater constructions.
The MVR 5.74 million project was awarded to the company to be completed within 180 days.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
