Raajje Transport Link (RTL) bus service has commenced in Dhidhdhoo.
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) launched the service yesterday. Currently two buses with a seating capacity of 32 are used to provide the bus service in Dhidhdhoo. In these buses there will be 22 seats and 10 people can travel by standing.
Similar to other RTL services, bus services in Dhidhdhoo will be provided free of cost in the first week. After one week bus tickets will be available through the RTL app. Moreover, customers can also check the route map and schedule information related to Dhidhdhoo bus service through the app.
Furthermore, even though as they start charging for the service after one week, children below three years of age, school children and those with special needs, as well as those above 65 years of age, will be able to travel free of cost.
MTCC currently operates RTL buses in Male’ City, Hulhumale’, Villimale’, Addu City, Fuvahmulah City and L. Atoll. According to the company it is an aim of the company to provide affordable and convenient transportation services to the people.
