Ha. Filladhoo Council has opened bidding for 99 plots of land from islands ‘Tourist Village’ designated for tourism in Filladhoo.
According to Filladhoo Council, these land plots will be leased for a period of 50 years. And these land plots designated from the island for tourism business range from 5,000 square feet to 1,15,000 square feet, and will be leased under 4 categories. Council stated that land land plots will can be leased for a minimum period of 6 years.
For beach-front land plots as rent, bidding starts at MVR 0.50 per square feet, for lands plots near the beach, MVR 0.45 per square feet. For the central lands plots, MVR 0.35 per square feet. And bidding starts at MVR 0.30 per square feet from land plots from other side of the island.
Moreover, according companies, partnerships and individual businesses registered with the Ministry of Economic and Development under the Business Registration Act will be allowed to bid for these land plots.
Therefore, council requested interested parties to complete bid registration before 1300hrs of August 28, 2023, by sending the completed Application Form for Registration in the Bidding via email ([email protected]) or by submitting to council.
Furthermore, bid submission and bid opening will be held at Filladhoo Council on September 4, 2023, at 1100hrs.
