76% of Ha. Dhidhdhoo Harbour Extension and Jetty Construction Project completed

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 76% of Ha. Dhidhdhoo Harbour Extension and Jetty Construction Project has been completed.

MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that 90% of existing harbour basin dredging operations are completed and is underway.

Under the project to develop Dhidhdhoo Harbour MTCC has to dredge 78,000 cubic meter new harbour basin, construction of 81 meter channel breakwater, 49 meter breakwater, 58 meter groyne, 768 meter revetment, and 898 meter quay wall. In addition, construction of a scour apron, installation of harbour lights, installation of navigation lights, mooring buoys, and installation of 9,270 square meter harbour pavement.

The value of the project is MVR 88.36 million.

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
