According to the Ministry of Tourism, more than 95,000 tourists arrived to the Maldives between June 1 and 21.
A total of 45,958 tourists visited the Maldives during the same period last year. In the same period of 2021, 92,519 tourists visited the Maldives. Therefore, this is a record number compared to the last two years.
According to statistics, the highest number of tourist arrivals to the Maldives this year came from India. A total of 1, 01,348 tourists arrived from the country. The second highest number of arrivals came from Russia with over 1, 06,851 arrivals. The third highest number of tourist arrivals came from the UK. More than 80,000 tourists have arrived from the country.
