President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that celebration of Eid is a time for harmony and goodwill.
President made the statement on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. President Solih sent greetings and congratulations in his message to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid al-Adha as well as to all Muslims in Makkah for the Holy Pilgrimage.
Moreover, the President advised visiting family and friends and exchanging Eid greetings in order to foster social peace and harmony. He also encouraged everyone to reestablish family ties by respecting parents and giving gifts to their spouses and kids out of love. He added that those with the means must take the initiative to help the less fortunate.
Furthermore, President urged people to avoid anger and violence and instead find comfort in kind relationships as he closed his remarks. He also advised people to put aside any resentment or jealousy on this occasion.
