Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that they have commenced Sh. Narudhoo Harbour Renovation Project.
According to MTCC, project was commenced on May 4, 2023. MTCC also updated ongoing works stating that new harbor basin dredging operations are currently underway.
Under the project to renovate Sh. Narudhoo Harbour MTCC has to dredge 36010 cubic meters from currently used harbour, dredging of 15202 cubic meter new harbour basin, channel dredging operations of 4120 cubic meter, construction of a 371 meter breakwater, a 205 meter revetment, and a 210 meter quay wall. In addition, installation of harbour lights, installation street lights, installation of 955 square meter harbor pavement and construction of a ramp.
The MVR 41.34 million project was awarded to the company to be completed within 365 days.
