Ha. Hoarafushi has been received first place in the Ihya (Revival of Religous Sciences) Forums held in the atolls by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced the Hoarafushi as winner of the Atoll Ihya Forums during the Ihya the Atoll Ihya Forum held in Fuvahmulah City on Friday night. That was the last Atoll Ihya Forums held for this year.
While Hoarafushi won the first place, second and third place was won by Fuvahmulah City. For the first place an Umrah trip was awarded by the Maldives Hajj Corporation, for second place an iPhone 13 was sponsored by Ooredoo Maldives, and for third place a Sofa set provided by Rainbow as sponsor.
Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali noted that they received assistance from several people organizing these forums. Moreover, he appreciated the people from the islands and council, various institutions their support and assistance. He also thanked all the stakeholders who helped the Ministry in organizing these forums.
Atoll Ihya Forum was held in seven islands this year. They are Addu City, Fuvahmulah City, Kulhudhuffushi City, Ha. Hoarafushi, R. Dhuvaafaru, Lh. Naifaru, and GDh. Thinadhoo.
