Ooredoo Boki Boalha Tournament has commenced.
The tournament is held in collaboration with Maziya Sports and Recreation Club. This fun-filled and thrilling sports event offers a unique and innovative twist on the world’s most popular sport – football – as participants will be playing while wearing a bumper ball.
Ooredoo Maldives Managing Director and CEO Khalid Al-Hamadi inaugurated the tournament yesterday. The top corporate teams in the Maldives are competing in the Ooredoo Boki Boalha Tournament.
In the first match, Crossroads Maldives won the match 2-0 against Tekkers. In the second match Brollerz – Rage Fitness won the match 4-0 against Tree Top Hospital ERC. In the third match Tekkers won 1-0 against Team Shaviyani.
Winning team will be awarded with MVR 20,000, while the second-place team will be granted MVR 10,000, and the third-place team will receive MVR 5,000 as a prize.
Furthermore, each match in the tournament will last for 10 minutes, consisting of two halves with a 3-minute break. During the group stage matches, three points will be awarded for a win and one point for a draw. In the knockout stage, if two teams are tied, a penalty shootout will be held.
According to Ooredoo, the remaining group matches will be played tonight at 2100hrs and top team from each group will reach the final.
