Golden Futsal Challenge: Naivaadhoo, Zone 1 Champions

HDh. Naivaadhoo are the champions of Zone 1 ‘Sonee Sports Golden Futsal Challenge 2023’.

The final match was played at Hulhumale’ Futsal Ground (Near Rehendhi School) and HDh. Naivaadhoo won the match against Sh. Foakaidhoo 6-2. Abdulla Visham from Naivaadhoo was selected as the best player of the match. He was also the top scorer of Zone 1. And Abdulla Shafiu of team Naivaadhoo was selected as the best player of the zone.

Although Foakaidhoo lost the final, they will be among the top 16 teams in the Golden Futsal Challenge 2023.

A total of 102 teams across from the country participated in this year’s competition. And a total of 242 matches will be played in the competition.

With 12 teams, Haa Alif Atoll has the most number of teams this year. Haa Dhaalu Atoll has 9 teams while Shaviyani Atoll has 7 teams in the competition.

In addition, Naivaadhoo were the champions of Haa Dhaalu Atoll and Utheemu were the champions of Haa Alif Atoll and Foakaidhoo were the champions of Shaviyani Atoll in Atoll Group round.
