President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has constituted the National Job Center under the Ministry of Economic Development.
President Solih established the new authority under the discretion vested in him by Section 116 (a) of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives.
The National Job Centre was tasked with bringing together employers and job seekers, offering information and insight on employment opportunities accessible to those of working age, conducting labor market studies and making recommendations to relevant authorities, and ensuring sustained enforcement of employment policies.
According to a directive issued by the President’s Office, the number 490 should be used in all correspondence addressed to the National Job Center as per the numbering system for state agencies.
