HDh. Makunudhoo Council have opened opportunity for assisting to renovate the mosques in the Island.
According to the announcement by the Council, various stakeholders have expressed interest in assisting renovations of the mosques before the holy month of Ramadan. Therefore, council opened opportunity for interested parties to assist.
Council noted that renovations will be undertaken in Masjid-al-Taqwa, Masjid-al-Siddiq and Masjid-al-Noor. In this regard Masjid-al-Siddiq’s toilets roofs are to be changed, construction of a walkway to the mosque from the outer door, changing the sound system and construction of Minaret are to be undertaken. In Masjid-al-Taqwa renovation of toilets, sheltering the walkway from ablution area to mosque with a roof, and changing the sound system. In addition, works to be done at Masjid-al-Noor are construction of toilets, Ablution area, a storage room, procuring a portable air-cooler (evaporated) and changing the roof tin of the mosque.
Therefore, Makunudhoo Council requested that those interested in assisting to do the renovation works of the mosques, will have the opportunity till February 10. And further information can be clarified by contacting 7789355 or 9769038.
