A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Aster Medcity Hospital to provide two more slots for In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) funds. And application are open for these two slots.
This MoU was signed by CEO Farhan Yasin on behalf of Aster Medcity and Treasurer Reema Hussain on behalf of Fertility Support Community (FSC).
IVF fund, launched on November 2, 2022 will help couples struggling financially to go for IVF treatment. This fund aims to fully fund one couple per year and for the current year FSC will be providing aid to a total of 5 couples.
To be eligible for the IVF fund applicants must be 25+ years and married. However, those below 25 years will be able to apply under special circumstances such as long-term health conditions.
The application fee is MVR 200, and the recipients will be selected at random after individually reviewing and shortlisting all applications. And the selection process of the fund will take place in June 2023.
