The construction of a Children’s park in Ha. Hoarafushi has begun.
The work started on January 11, 2023. Hoarafushi Council President Mohamed Waheed stated that the park will be prepared in a very unique, mesmerizing and will have complete facilities.He added that the park will be set up with funds from the Fenaka Hoarafushi branch CSR, council and WDC budget.
Moreover, he stated that the necessary equipment required for the park has been received already and as soon as the boundary wall is separated, it will be installed. The park will have a reading corner and recreational facilities. Kids can also play Handball and Futsal at the park.
Waheed also expressed hope that the park, to be set up at a cost of around MVR 400,000, would be completed within a month.
Furthermore, sharing a small design of the park, he stated there will be a barbecue area from the beach area to the east and a dedicated area for Grandparents. The idea is to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to have a good time, in this regard while children’s play at the park adults can also enjoy or go for a swim, Waheed added. Also there will be an area for showing after swimming.
In addition, Waheed thanked constituency MP Ahmed Saleem, Fenaka MD Ahmed Saeed and CEO of MTCC Adam Azim for their assistance.
