Foakaidhoo Health Center has won the Handball tournament of the Foakaidhoo Council Sports Fiesta 2022.
The final match of the tournament was played between Foakaidhoo Health Center team and Fenaka Foakaidhoo Handball Team. Health Center team won the match by 15-13. Fathimath Niusha of Health Center team was selected as the best player of the match.
The top three players of the tournament are: Aminath Rishtha from Fenaka, Sheeza Ibrahim from Health Center team, and Fathimath Niusha from Health Center team. Aminath Hameedha from Health Center team was selected as the best Goalkeeper, Fathimath Shifana of the WDC team was the top scorer of the tournament, Sawdha Abdulla of Madu Fehi Sports Club was selected as the most promising player of the tournament, and Mariyam Naaisha of Health Center team was selected as the best player of the tournament.
The tournament is organized by Foakaidhoo Council with the objective of reviving the spirit of Hanball in Foakaidhoo and producing talented Handball players in the Island.
