Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH) has completed the latest preparations for the commencement of Laparoscopic Surgeries.

This is the first time that this service will be launched outside the Greater Male’ Region.
While the service is set to be launched, Neomed Maldives Private Limited has been entrusted with the task of procuring the trauma implants required for orthopaedic surgeries at KHR. The work was awarded to the company on September 25 this year at the launch of the Strategic Action Plan of KRH.
The agreement was signed on behalf of KRH by Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Dawood (David) and Managing Director Hussain Rasheed signed on behalf of Neomed Maldives. These are trauma implants worth MVR 4.9 million. The agreement will make it easier for the hospital to acquire the resources needed to perform orthopaedic surgeries.
The hospital, which is run by a governing board, caters to a large number of people on a daily basis. They include residents of the island, people from other islands, and other atolls.
