Kulhudhuffushi City Council has announced that Kulhudhuffushi ‘Masjid Hadaarat’ which was closed for renovation, will be used from Friday onwards.
According to the announcement by the council, after closing for renovation, mosque will be reopened on Friday, May 28, 2022, from Friday prayers onward.
The two-storey mosque was closed on September 10, 2022, for ground floor repairs. The ground floor now has been renovated and in ground floor is installed with vinyl flooring. Therefore, special chairs have been kept at the ground floor council advised users to not use any other chairs on ground floor as it might damage the vinyl flooring.
Moreover, the council has also decided to stop male worshippers from using Masjid-al-Nasr after reopening the ‘Masjid Hadaarat’ the largest mosque in Kulhudhuffushi.
The renovation work of ‘Masjid Hadaarat’ was carried out by Gibbs Private Limited for MVR 1,586,860.86.
