Kulhudhuffushi City Council has decided to create a list of blood donors.
The Council has published in the Government Gazette that this is designed to ensure easy access to blood for those in need of blood due to various diseases.
According to the city council, those who wish to register in the blood donors list are requested to register before 1400hrs of October 31,2022. Those who wish to register for the blood donors list can register using the link https://kulhudhuffushicity.gov.mv/2022/10/10546/
While many people have been asking for blood due to various ailments or incidents in the country, the biggest hurdle in this regard is the difficulty of getting blood from donors.
Moreover, parents and guardians of children with thalassemia have to work extremely hard to get blood to their children.
Previously, Haa Dhaalu Atoll Council also formed a list of blood donors.
