Sh. Funadhoo has confirmed the first slotĀ in the semi-finals of the Futsal competition of Tourism 50, Mila Uthuru Sports Fiesta 2022, organized by the Shaviyani Atoll Council with the assistance of the Ministry of Tourism.
Funadhoo won the first slot of the semi-final of the tournament by winning three matches in Group C. Funadhoo won the third match of the group 5-1 against Lhaimagu. Ibrahim Aisham was selected as the best player of the match. Komandoo won the match 2-0 against Maaungoodhoo in the Group C. Vildhan Ahmed of Komandoo team was selected as the best player of the match.
Milandhoo and Maroshi met in the first match of Group A on match day three. Milandhoo won the match 2-1. Abdulla Nasif was selected as the best player of the match. The second match of the group was played between Foakaidhoo and Feevah. Foakaidhoo won the match 1-0. Abdulla Fathaah was selected as the best player of the match.
The first match of group B on match day three was between Noomara and Feydhoo. Feydhoo won the match 6-2. Ismail Fazeen was selected as the best player of the match. The second match of the group was played between Goidhoo and Kanditheemu. Kanditheemu won the match 1-0. Mohamed Shan was selected as the best player of the match.
The competition is played in three groups, while Group A matches are played in Narudhoo. Narudhoo won the group A match between Foakaidhoo and Narudhoo 1-0. Maroshi won the second match of the group with a 3-0 win over Feevah.
In addition to the Futsal tournament, Mila Uthuru Handball Tournament for women from Shaviyani Atoll is also scheduled to be held at the fiesta. The handball competition, which was participated by 10 teams from 10 islands of Shaviyani Atoll, will begin on November 21.
