President announced construction of a new mosque in Ha. Utheemu

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has announced that it is a plan of government to include in next year’s budget to build a mosque in Ha. Utheemu 

Speaking at the official opening ceremony of Utheemu’s new powerhouse during his official visit to Utheemu, the President stated that he will always pay attention to the needs of every island. In this regard, the President noted that work on the water system in Utheemu was underway while a new powerhouse is also opened.

There will always be necessary developmental projects required by every island. Therefore, the government will try to do its best to fulfil the needs of its citizens, president added.

The President has now concluded his official visit to the four islands of Thiladhunmathi. During his vist he inaugurated the completed projects in the island’s and inspect the ongoing projects in the islands.

During his visit, the President also met with island councils and members of the Women’s Development Committee.
