The career guidance programme organized by HDh. Hanimaadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya has commenced in the island.

The programme, conducted by Hanimaadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya with the assistance of Asia Foundation, is aimed at students in grades 9 and 10 of Hanimaadhoo School.

The two day programme is held at the training classrooms of Hanimaadhoo Agriculture Centre. The first day of the programme is conducted for the grade 10 students of Hanimaadhoo School and the second day of the programme will be conducted for the grade 9 students tomorrow.

According to Hanimaadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya stated that the programme was conducted by the Deputy Principal of Haa Dhaalu AAtoll Education Centre Ali Ismail. More than 100 students from grade 9 and 10 of Hanimaadhoo School are expected to complete the programme.

Moreover, Hanimaadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya is preparing to hold an awareness event for parents of Hanimaadhoo School to familiarize them with higher education. Also, a special forum on foundation studies was also held in July with the assistance of Asia Foundation. In June, a workshop was also held in collaboration with Hanimaadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya and Enlighting a Mindfull Community (EMC) under the theme “Self-Confidence”.

Furthermore, Hanimaadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya was registered in 1993 and has been working for the development of the island since then. In addition, Hanimaadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya also won the National Award in 2016.
