President of Islamic Organization for Culture and Civilization (IOCC) Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has been presented with the most prestigious award to alumni students of Islamic University of Madinah (IUM).

The award was presented by Prince Faisal bin Salman, son of King Salman, at a special function held at the Islamic University of Madinah yesterday evening. The most prestigious award presented to alumni students of the university is Jaaizathul Hirrijinahruhwad.

IOCC President Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed departed to Saudi Arabia on June 12, 2022,  on a special invitation from the IUM. During the visit Dr. Shaheem will discuss with the University to increase the number of Maldivian students at the university, as well as to provide opportunities for Maldivian students.Moreover, he will also attend the 58th graduation ceremony of the University as a special guest.

Dr. Shaheem has been widely accepted as a Scholar by Islamic countries and has made it to the list of 500 most influential Islamic personalities in the world.

 

The IOCC is a national institution established in the Maldives, following the guidelines of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the international organization of the Islamic Ummah in Saudi Arabia, as an example. 

There are five universities under the OIC in Jeddah, the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the OIC Human Rights Commission, the OIC Islamic Solidarity Fund, the OIC Islamic Research Centre in Turkiye, the Islamic News Agency in Jeddah, the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in Turkiye, the OIC Youth Organization in Jeddah, the OIC Voice of Wisdom Centre in Jeddah  and Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in Morocco.
