Handball coaching course conducted in Sh. Funadhoo by Shaviyani Atoll council has been concluded and certificates have been awarded to the participants.
The course was conducted in collaboration with Handball Maldives and Maldives Institute of Sports. While 24 participants from 11 islands of the atoll completed the course held from May 6-13, 2022, 20 participants received certificates. The closing ceremony of the course was held on June 13, 2022. The ceremony was attended by President of Shaviyani Atoll Council Mohamed Shiyam.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Shiyam urged to conduct coaching courses in the islands in accordance with the lessons learned from the course, and to work towards forming good teams for this year’s atoll handball tournament
Moreover, Shiyam also highlighted the assistance provided by Handball Maldives in carrying out the program.
