Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 68% of Sh. Foakaidhoo Harbour Development project has been completed.
MTCC also updated on the ongoing work stating that the fifth shipment of rock boulders required for the breakwater construction has been delivered to the project site.
Under the project to develop Foakaidhoo Harbour, the company has to dredge 45795 cubic meters of new harbour basin, construction of a 464 meter quay wall, 507 meters breakwater, and a 100m revetment. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and construction of 2320 square meter of paved area will also be undertaken.

The project is worth MVR 64.6 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbors.
