Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure has awarded Th. Dhiyamigili Coastal Protection Project to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
At a ceremony held at the Planning Ministry, the agreement was signed by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed, and CEO of MTCC Adam Azim signed the agreement on behalf of the company.
Under the project to protect the coastal area of Th. Dhiyamigili, MTCC have to construction of 205 meters breakwater, and 392 meters of revetment. An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) will be conducted as it is part of the project scope.
The project worth MVR 23,164,180 million was awarded to MTCC to be completed in 365 days.
In the past three years, MTCC has completed several harbour construction, land reclamation and beach protection projects.
