50% of M. Dhiggaru Land Reclamation and Shore Protection project completed: MTCC

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 50% of M. Dhiggaru Land Reclamation and Shore Protection project has been completed.

MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that 63% of revetment works have been completed and reclamation works are currently underway.

Under the project, 25 hectares of land will be reclaimed, 384 meters of revetment will and a 287 meter breakwater will be constructed.

The project is worth MVR 121.8 million.

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
