Sh. Lhaimagu Harbour Development project progressing at a fast pace

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that Sh. Lhaimagu Harbour Development project is progressing at a fast pace.

MTCC also updated on the ongoing work stating that quay wall block installation and concrete works are underway with 59 percent of the work completed.

Under the project to develop Lhaimagu Harbour, the company has to dredge 31000 cubic meter of harbor basin, construction of a 276 meter quay wall, a 350 meter breakwater, and 500 meter revetment. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and installation of a 1380 square meter paved area will also be undertaken.

The project is worth MVR 53.1 million.

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbors.
