Hoarafushi WDC donated an AC to Atoll Education Center

Hoarafushi Women’s Development Committee (WDC) has donated an Air Conditioner (AC) to the Atoll Education Center (AEC) in the Island.

Hoarafushi WDC is working to provide such assistance to the island’s institutions. Moreover, efforts are also underway to carry out more activities in future, in the Island.

Furthermore, Hoarafushi WDC noted that they are working on starting a Handball competition in the Island in May. The competition will be held in collaboration with the Hoarafushi Youth Centre.

In addition, Hoarafushi WDC held a ceremony to mark International Women’s Day recently in collaboration with the Council. During the ceremony awards were presented to the in order to appreciate and recognize their service to the community from different areas of work. These areas include trade, health, economic, agriculture, Maldivian medicine, education and public services.
