Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the first shipment of rock boulders required for Lh. Hinnavaru Harbour Development Project has been delivered to the project site.
MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that 66 percent concrete works of quay wall has been completed.
Under the project to develop Hinnavaru Harbour MTCC has to reclaim 3.2 hector land, to dredge 65170.67 cubic meter of harbour basin, construction of a 123.9 meter breakwater, a 170.55 meter revetment, and construction 421 meter quay wall. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and development of a paved area will be undertaken.
The project is worth MVR 99.5 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
