Ooredoo Maldives has announced its partnership with Snapchat, a global camera company, aimed to accelerate the adoption of Augmented Reality (AR) to create unique immersive experiences for customers in Maldives.

Ooredoo Maldives will use Snapchat Lenses to showcase the natural beauty and distinct culture of Maldives to its global clients as part of its ‘Visit Maldives Now’ campaign, which supports national efforts to rebuild tourism in the post-pandemic era. Snapchat today unveiled a special AR lens celebrating the Maldives Tourism 50th Anniversary, as well as a special geofilter to welcome travelers to the sunny side of life. 

Moreover, Ooredoo Maldives has announced new daily, weekly, and monthly data packs devoted to Snapchat with up to 20GB data to allow more customers to stay connected with their friends and family while having fun with Snapchat’s unique AR capabilities.

To enable more users to stay connected with their friends and family and have fun while using Snapchat’s fun AR tools, Ooredoo Maldives has also introduced new daily, weekly, and monthly data packs dedicated to Snapchat with up to 20GB data. Ooredoo Prepaid customers will receive free 2GB data valid for 30 days as part of the strategic relationship with Snapchat, allowing more consumers to enjoy the wide array of lenses, filters, and Friendmojis available on the site. Customers can get the free data by dialing *929*1# or texting “SNPF” to 5555. The free data for snapchat offer will be valid until the end of June 2022.
