Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 77 % of the Hangnaameedhoo harbour development project has been completed.
MTCC also updated on the ongoing work stating that they have delivered last shipment of precast concrete blocks required for the construction of the quay wall.
Under the project to develop Hangnaameedhoo Harbour, the company has to dredge 6363.1 cubic meter of harbor basin, construction of a 266 meter quay wall, a 204 meter breakwater, and 160 meter revetment. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and installation of a 1330 square meter paved area will also be undertaken.
The project is worth MVR 32.2 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbors.
