Utheemu Palace, which has been temporarily closed as a precautionary measure against COVID-19, is planned to be reopened tomorrow.
According to the National Centre for Cultural Heritage, the Utheemu Palace will be open from 0800hrs to 1400hrs every day except Fridays. And tickets will be sold from 0800hrs to 1330hrs.
Utheemu Palace was temporarily closed on March 5 after the island’s taskforce advised the council to take precautionary measures against Covid-19 outbreak in the Island. Moreover, Utheemu Palace was also closed from January 19, 2022 to February 27, 2022, as a precautionary measure against Covid-19 surge across the country.
Utheemu Palace is a place where people from all over the country travel to experience one of the most historic places in the Maldives. A large number of people visit to Utheemu Palace during the school holiday every year, and especially during eid holidays.
