Ooredoo Maldives has approved in Annual General Meeting to distribute MVR 2.70 as dividend to its shareholders.

The amount was passed at the annual general meeting held at Crossroads with 98.7 percent of the votes of the shareholders who took part in the meeting. The event was attended by 101 shareholders themselves, while 1,101 shareholders participated through proxy. These shareholders represent shares worth MVR 135.9 million.

Moreover, Ooredoo has advised some shareholders to be cautious as the changes brought to income tax act, 10% will be deducted from shareholders who lack the residency. 

Furthermore, Fareeha Shareef was elected to the Board of Directors on behalf of public shareholders. She also served in the post last year. She received 732 votes, competing with Ibrahim Firushan and Aishath Hussain Manik.

In addition, Price Water House Coopers was elected as Oooredoo’s auditor for this year. And USD 62920 was approved as wage for the auditor.
