Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that a second shipment of precast concrete blocks required for the quay wall construction of K. Himmafushi Harbor (phase 2) have been delivered to the project site.
MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that 81% of quay wall construction is completed.
Under the project to develop the Himmafushi Harbour (phase 2) MTCC has to dredge 14300 cubic meter of new harbour basin, construction of a 38 meter breakwater, a 248 meter revetment, and a 172 meter quay wall. In addition, the installation of navigation lights and installation of streetlights will be undertaken.
The final shipment of concrete blocks required for the construction of quay wall of K. Hinmafushi Harbor have been delivered to the project site. The project is worth MVR 25.88 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
