80% of R. Rasmaadhoo Harbour Development Project completed: MTCC

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 80% of R. Rasmaadhoo Harbour Development Project has been completed. 

MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that the company has completed installation of precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction on January, 29 2022. Construction of breakwater is ongoing, with 82% completion, and construction of paved area is ongoing, with 69% completion. 

Under the project to develop Rasmaadhoo Harbour MTCC has to dredge 8100 cubic metres of harbour basin and construction of a 377 meter breakwater. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights, and developing a 600 square meter paved area will be undertaken. 

The project is worth MVR 28.1million. 

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
