Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 81% of S. Hulhudhoo Harbour Development Project has been completed. 

MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that construction of the quay wall is currently ongoing, with 89% completion.

Under the project to develop Hulhudhoo Harbour MTCC has to dredge 88623 cubic metres of harbour basin, construction of 742 meter quay wall, 114 meter breakwater, and revetments of 624 meter. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights, and developing a 2250 square meter paved area will be undertaken.

The project is worth MVR 66.3 million.

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
