Ooredoo Maldives has re-opened the opportunity to apply for the post of Director to represent the general shareholders on the Board of Directors of the Company.
Ooredoo opened applications for the board on December 23, 2021. However, Ooredoo noted that shareholders are facing difficulties in obtaining the documents required to apply for the Board Director due to the community spread of COVID-19. And applications received by the deadline were either incomplete or from ineligible applicants.
Therefore, the company re-opened applications for the post of Director to provide all shareholders with an equal opportunity to submit duly completed application forms along with all required supporting documents.
In addition, according to the announcement by Ooredoo Maldives, the deadline for submitting the application is January 27, 2022. Moreover, only shortlisted candidates by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee will be presented to the Board of Directors. And a Director will be appointed to the post at the annual general meeting to be held in March.
