Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the B. Fehendhoo Harbour Development project has been completed.
Under the project to develop Fehendhoo Harbour, the company dredged harbour enterance channel, construction of a 214 meter quay wall, a 130 meter breakwater, 317 meter revetment, and construction of a ramp were undertaken. In addition, construction of an 812 square meter walkway bridge to connect the harbour and the island and construction of a 908 square meter pavement were undertaken.
Moreover, after completing the project, under company’s CSR activity MTCC dredged Island’s boat yard area, leveled the areas of island where water get stuck after raining, created a slope in swimming area by adding sand, and planting palm trees in reclaimed land.
The project is worth MVR 45.1 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbors.
