An agreement has been signed between Feydhoo Council and Sandstone Private Limited to build a new pre-school in Feydhoo.

According to the council physical work of the project has started. And council noted that previously a pre-school had been run in the island, however, no pre-school has been established in the island since nursery and baby nursery were included in the government’s basic education.

According to the President of council Ahmed Raisham the preschool will have a total of 20 children’s space, a space for the office to work, toilets and a play area for the children. And a pre-school is being re-established in the island as a pledge of the council.

Moreover, pre-school will be used to teach English classes for the adults during the night time.

Sandstone Private Limited from Sh. Kanditheemu, which signed the agreement, is a company that is carrying out similar work in other islands of the atoll as well.
