HDh. Nellaidhoo Council has decided to conduct a fishing race to celebrate this year’s Fishermen’s Day, in collaboration with the Women’s Development Committee (WDC).
Nellaidhoo Council has requested teams who wish to participate in the fishing race to submit online application forms before 1400 hrs on December 9, 2021.
Moreover, according to the announcement by the council, a minimum of four participants and a maximum of six participants will be able to participate in each team. The fishing race will be held from 1600hrs to 2030hrs on December 10, 2021.
Furthermore, the council stated that the first, second, and third team will be awarded cash prizes. The prize money will also be awarded to the participant who catches the heaviest fish and the best Keyolhu.
In addition, the council will share the general regulations of the competition with the teams taking part in the competition.
