An agreement has been signed between the National Centre for the Holy Quran and the Ilm Institute for Islamic Studies to conduct quran courses.
Under the agreement, Qira’at certificate levels and diploma level courses will be conducted by Ilm Institute, affiliated with the National Centre for the Holy Quran.
Ilm Institute aims to spread Quranic knowledge in all atolls of Maldives.
The agreement was signed by Minister of State for Islamic Affairs Sheikh Ilyas Jamal on behalf of the National Centre for the Holy Quran. Assistant Director General of Ilm Institute Ali Ahsan signed the agreement on behalf of the Ilm institute. The courses are planned to start in January.
The Ilm Institute for Islamic Studies has announced a major project of 100 “Khafizs” in the Maldives. The project will begin in the first week of December. The project, which will begin with over 500 students, has received a lot of support from the public.
The Ilm institute is preparing to launch several such programs.
