An awareness sessions on domestic violence have commenced in Ha. Filladhoo.
The sessions are conducted by the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services for parents of Filladhoo School. Sessions will be conducted from November 27 to 29.
According to the Ministry, during the first session of the program information on child abuse and the Child Rights Protection Act were shared during the session. Moreover, the second session was for parents of grade 1 to 5, and parents were briefed on the importance of preventing domestic violence and maintaining children.
The Ministry has also commenced awareness sessions on domestic violence in N. Fohdhoo.
