Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the Centara New Resorts Maldives: Reclamation of 3 Different Islands project has been completed.
A special ceremony was held at Centara Hotels and Resorts to mark the completion of the reclamation of the three islands. The ceremony was attended by Planning Minister Ahmed Aslam, CEO of MTCC Adam Azim and senior officials of the company.
Under the project, land has been reclaimed to form three artificial islands of 7 hectares in each island in Vaatterfalhu.
The US$ 26.29 million project was awarded to MTCC by Lagoon Private Limited. The project is the most expensive project completed by MTCC for an international client in its 40-year history.
