Komandoo Council held a meeting with the Minister of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture Dr. Hussain Rasheed.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the current needs of the island in the fisheries and agriculture sector and bring them to the attention of the Minister.
According to the Komandoo Council, three main issues discussed during the meeting were about the Ice plant to be built at Komandoo, installation of Fish Aggregating Devices (FADs) for fisherman and for Sports Fishing.
Moreover, discussions were held on providing agricultural training to farmers in Komandoo and promoting agriculture in Mathi Komandoo.
