Thuraakunu Police Desk has been inaugurated officially.
The desk was inaugurated by Minister of Home Affairs Imran Abdulla and Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed at a ceremony held on November 4, 2021.
Minister Imran, speaking at the occasion, stated that the police institution is working hard to expand the police service across the country, with the neighboring police service being the most important basic goal of providing the service.
Moreover, the Minister also stated that the program was founded not because of a high crime rate, but rather because of attempts to discover the core causes of crimes and save the community before it became too dangerous.
Furthermore, speaking at the ceremony, the Commissioner of Police appealed to the police working in Ha. atoll to work together with people, institutes and organizations to make the island a safer place. And he urged the people of Thuraakunu to work closely with the police at the forefront of their work.
The Minister of Home Affairs and the Commissioner of Police are accompanied by senior police officers, MP of the constituency, president of Ha. Atoll council, and island council at the ceremony.
