Sh. Feydhoo council has begun a door-to-door program to check on residents’ well-being and get their input on how the council should be managed.
The major goal of the door-to-door program, according to the council, is to clarify the issues that residents experience and to gather their input into the council’s operations.
President of the council, Ahmed Raisham, the door-to-door program, which began on September 19, 2021, is one of their pledges made during the local council election. He also noted that the council will provide updates on how their work is progressing as well as the latest information on government activities on the island. Moreover, suggestions of residents to further improve works of council.
Furthermore, he added that they will be discussing the land use plan and development plans. And the development plan will be based on the feedback they received from the residents.
The council will visit every household in the island at least three times per year throughout the program. On the island, there are about 180 households.
