A tree-planting program was arranged by the Muraidhoo Women Development Committee across several areas of the island.
According to president shifaza mohamed, “committee organized this type of program inoder to plant as many shady trees all around the island.
Furthermore shifaza stated that the island is hotter due to the lack of shady trees. Since then, regions with less trees have been chosen for tree planting.
Shifaza further stated that such programs will be planned in the future by the committee.
Muraidhoo Women Development Committee has conducted a number of activities, including a collaboration with Ha.police station to hold a fitness program and participated in various activities during this year’s Eid celebrations.
