Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has initiated the works of the new ferry terminal project.
In a special ground-breaking ceremony, the project was inaugurated by the CEO of MTCC, Adam Azim, MP of Hoarafushi Constituency Ahmed Saleem, and the Island Council’s President, Mohamed Waheed.
Hoarafushi ferry terminal is the first terminal to be established under Phase 1 of the “Integrated National Public Ferry Network Project”, a high speed ferry system being built to connect the islands of Maldives.
A ceremony was held today at Ha. Hoarafushi to mark the mobilization of Ha. Hoarafushi shore protection project site. The value of the project is MVR 6.39 million and the project is to be completed within 75days. pic.twitter.com/sJPF9OP7SA

In addition to the project, new terminals are planned to be built in 41 islands in Thiladhunmathi.
