A group of Vaikaradhoo youths named “Vai Rodhin” organized a beach cleaning day on January 30,2021.
On behalf of “Vai Rodhin” Mohamed Azeem stated that the program was initiated by the Vaikaradhoo youths and received support from the island community to successfully complete the program.
“We started the program at 10:00 am in the morning and ended with a refreshment for the participants at around 13:30pm. our main objective of this activity was to keep our island clean and tidy ” by Azeem
According to Vai Rodhin, at the end of the program, they provided the children with information on plastics and how to dispose of them in an environmentally friendly manner.
“Vai Rodhin” is a youth wing in Vaikaradhoo that runs water sports events. They have shared there incredible experiences on the Facebook page ” Vai Rodhin“.
Meanwhile, a water sports program for kids has recently been organized in Vaikaradhoo. The program for two sperate batches took place on January17, 2021.
