Waste Management Cooperation (WAMCO) has started to clean the waste disposal area of Dhidhoo.

Dhidhoo council’s president Mohamed Hashim has said Dhidhoo’s waste disposal area and the flat area has been started to clean by WAMCO after being dirty for a long time. The work has been going at a high speed as well, according to the president.

Hashim has also stated that waste and waste disposal in the island is a very big problem faced by the people. If the waste disposal area is being cleaned, this would make everyone’s work double easier, he added.

The work is done by the grant, granted by the government and if the problem finds a permanent solution would be where the island wants to be as well.

Hashim also thanked the management and the team of WAMCO to always help the island to be free of waste and the island to be clean always. The managing director of WAMCO has stated that the work that is being done in Dhidhoo is categorized under the work of cleaning the waste disposal area of the islands. He has also added that the work is open for all islands as well.

A team from WAMCO has also visited Thiladhunmathi to survey and gather information regarding the waste disposal of the islands as well.
